Yup, I’m still alive—alive and kicking cement and dust off my feet. My family and I just moved in to our new home here in Antipolo. There’s still some major construction going on here, but it’s livable. Dirty, but livable.
Waking up to the sound of hammers and grinders is not pleasant, I can tell you that. I’m already stressed with the move itself (not to mention issues that needed to be polished, my web host problems, and an awfully slow DSL connection—why they even call it “DSL†is beyond me, dial-up is even faster), and all the noise and dust are just not helping. For once in my life, I was actually glad to attend a client meeting—an out-of-town one at that.
Marc and I took the opportunity to relax (even just for the night) in Tagaytay after our meeting. When I really think about it, it’s a bit weird that we had to have a client meeting in the morning just to get a chance to have a “second honeymoon†(thank you, dear client, if it wasn’t for you we probably wouldn’t have the chance to “enjoy†ourselves). But hey, beggars can’t be choosers. And I’m honestly a beggar for rest and relaxation—anything will do.
Marc and I stayed at the T House, a bed and breakfast with a very relaxing atmosphere. With all the construction and decisions to be made on our house’s design, I could not help but fully appreciate the design of the place. It’s just so Zen you know? They even have this spa where Marc and I pampered ourselves and rejuvenated for another stressful week ahead. I’ll probably write a review about it, but not here. Probably in my wedding blog, but some other time. I’m honestly still a bit lazy to write one. I just want to write you know? And let things flow off the top of my head.
Anyway, the best thing about the T House was that we practically had the place all to ourselves. I think we were the only guests there at that time. And that was something I fully appreciated—it was a really great place to relax.
With all the stress I’ve been going through lately, I have honestly been a bit put off with blogging. I haven’t even been updating my dog blogs till now. It’s like my blogging muse went into a sabbatical, you know? I have a lot of things to write about, but I just couldn’t find the words to write them.
Sometimes, all you need is a bit of peace. I can’t believe I’ve forgotten that. It was as if I’ve been so focused at work that I’ve forgotten to take a break, breathe, and have some alone time finding my muse.
It feels good to be back 🙂
Greetings!
Many thanks for the comments about T House.
